Dr. Joshua Summers, PT, DPT
Titleist Performance Institute Certified
Josh earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University in 2012. He has over 10 years of Orthopedic based physical therapy practice experience and utilizes his knowledge of the musculoskeletal system in order to help “diagnose” the underlying physical limitations that are causing problems with your golf swing.
He was introduced to golf at an early age by both of his grandfathers, but really found his passion for the game once he
took lessons and started playing competitively around the age of 14. Josh considers himself the “1st client” of FFPT and has been able to lower his handicap from a 7 down to a 3-5 by executing his own specialized program to reduce pain and improve ROM.
Josh prides himself on going above and beyond for each client by individualizing their very own unique program. As a former college athlete, he enjoys working with a wide variety of clients to help maximize their potential and really gain an edge up on the competition (whether that be in golf, baseball, tennis, or swimming).
In his spare time Josh enjoys golfing (surprise surprise), attending DC sporting events with his new wife, taking care of his dog Nugget, and spending time with his friends/family at the beach. Like most recreational golfers that are married, he plays as much golf in his free time as he is allowed.
